Emma Wilson is a graduate of Falmouth University where she studied fine art and ceramics. She then worked on a ceramic collection and was Guardian Designer of the Year in 2000 before moving into art therapy.

She founded Artistic Spectrum seven years ago and has won many awards for her innovative approach to art as therapy for children and adults with autism.

It was during this time that Emma reconnected with photography and has been working on several projects including documenting female shepherds in Romania and a long-term project working with Janet, a 72-year-old trans person in Hull.

“Dammit Janet I Love You” was shown at Exposure Photography Festival in Canada in Early 2020, at the group exhibition “Sweet Dreams” in Leeds, UK, and as part of Gender 50/50 in London in March 2020.
